Last weekend we buried my grandmother. It was a time of mourning but for me it was a time of   ‘reflection’.

I went back memory lane to when I lost my father few years ago and my reaction to his death. My dad’s death was a shock to the dentistry community, to his friends and some family members.

But for us his direct family, our feelings were quite mixed – we loved how people spoke well of him; the problem was we couldn’t identify or relate the man they spoke of as the father we lived with.

The world spoke of a man who was caring and attained the highest level at work.

We knew him as a dictator, who had issues and found it difficult to love his wife and children.

Many are gone and are remembered for different things like-

•Billy Graham who died recently is remembered for his contribution to Christendom.

•Hitler is remembered for the great harm he caused the Jews.

•Jesus Christ is remembered for salvation of mankind.

Dad is gone, Granny is gone, everyone of us will be gone someday.

The question we pose to you today is ‘WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR?’.
