Love right!

To love right is a crucial part of our marriage journey. A while ago, I remember mouthing duties to hubby while rushing into my prayer cubicle. As I began to pray, I heard clearly; what was that? Then, a picture of my actions ran through my eyes. It dawned me that I had to apologise to hubby immediately.

As couples we tend to take actions that hurt our better half, causing an unintended rift.
But one of the greatest secrets about loving your spouse right is to partner with the Holy Spirit. There are so many mistakes I would have made if not for the nudging of the Holy Spirit guiding me.

As couples go through counselling sessions with us, I see a pattern; couples that love one another but seem not to know how to express it in a way that the other will understand.

Yes, love language, sex, communication and many more are vital tools to help one love right, but we need to know which to apply per season and that is where the Holy Spirit comes in.

Developing a daily prayer and fellowship time with God prepares us for the expected and unexpected. It also keeps our spirit sensitive about our environment including our spouse’s feeling.

So dear friend, will you include the Holy Trinity in your love journey with your spouse?
