Few days ago, we took this picture as we were being interviewed by Covenant Marriages. We were called to share our failings and how we learnt to move forward.
We talked about our struggle with infidelity and our divorce saga. As we shared, I wondered how we survived it. I then remembered a saying, “success is simply multiple failures”.
We all fail, but very few people know how to turn a failure to success or as we tend to call it, ‘failing forward’.
So the question often asked, is how can one fail forward?
  • Do not blame one another, rather fight or solve the situation together.
  • Let go of ego and forgive.
  • Believe that your failure doesn’t define you nor the outcome.
  • Pray! Pray without ceasing, for that will give you hope and keep your faith alive.
  • If necessary, speak to a counselor.
Rich says…
Failing forward happens when we choose to learn from our failed situations, thereby gaining vital experiences and becoming better and well equipped to handle situations.
Then we are on the pathway of true success.
Many great men and women understand that failing is not the end of the road or dream. Abraham, Rahab, David, and many more failed forward, yet they did not let it define them or their future.
No matter what you are going through, remember that failure is simply a learning curve and stepping stone into our envisioned future.
Fail forward!
