Hello people! I want to share a short story with you all. Please enjoy.

I went visiting a relation of mine in his home in the village. He welcomed me in and offered me a seat. As I was about to sit, I realized that the chair offered to me wasn’t a chair but a television set. I looked at the seat he was sitting on and realized it was also a television set.

Are you shocked! So was i. my mouth was wide open… to crown it all, he was complaining about how uncomfortable the seats were. He continued to grumble on how his other brothers in the states sent him these uncomfortable chairs when he asked for just a television set.

This is what most of us are doing with our marriages, simply because we have never bothered to ask the question “why did God create marriage?” We have abused, underutilized, and used our marriages in ways it wasn’t created for. Let us go back to the TV story… while he’s still grumbling and complaining, I plug in the TV set and it comes on showing colorful pictures. It was the exact TV set he had asked for from his siblings. In shock, it dawned on him that the chair he’s been sitting on is actually the TV set he’s been admiring in this neighbours house daily and praying to have. He actually owned two of it all the while. I guess you know by now the story isn’t real but it buttresses my point on how we see and participate in our marriages.

 Rich say…

God in his infinite wisdom created the ultimate relationship designed to last a life time (marriage) to give humans a taste of heaven on earth continually. It is the perfect platform where the potentials of two (2) distinct individuals can be harnessed to bring out the best in them via teamwork operating on LOVE.

I believe the question “why did God create marriage?” will open our eyes and break barriers beyond our wildest expectations. Surprisingly, you might even find out that this question might even save your marriage and turn things around.

“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh”. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular, so love his own wife as himself and let the wife see that she respects her husband.  Ephesians 5:31-33

BONDING TIME

Meditate and discuss with your spouse “why God created marriage” in your own understanding.
