KMA ANNIVERSARY/AWARDS 2016

Keeping Marriage Alive (KMA) Anniversary/Awards held on the 22nd of May 2016 at Hypercade Events Centre (Rumors), Festac, Town, Lagos.

The event officially kicked off by 3.00 pm with an opening prayer by Mr Ndubuisi. The comperes of the day were Macaulay (Pikinpin) & Amaka, they kept the guests utterly entertained all through the event. Next was the singing of the National & KMA Anthem with Kamsy (the first daughter of the founder) taking the lead.

The founders Ngee & Rich welcomed the guests and introduced the vision, mission & all events hosted by KMA. Events like the Touch of Red., Children’s Creative Camp, Help International Conference, Let’s Get Together Women, Intensive Habit Workshop were highlighted.

The raffle draws finally kicked off by 3.30 pm with Mrs Kelechi Okwara picking the winners for the first 2 prizes. The toaster was won by Mrs Lizzy … while the blender was won by Franca ….

A/P (Mrs) Nzeribe presented the first awardee Chioma Igwe with the Role model Award for how she steadfastly stood and trained 4 of her sisters after she lost her parents few years back. Her story was one of courage, tenacity, faith, love, patience, tolerance and evolving dreams. Other awards for the night were Best Couple Award given to Dr & Dr (Mrs) Ernest Nwokolo, Most Committed Couple Award given to Mr & Mrs Emma Okonkwo, KMA Close-knit Family Award given to Engr. & Mrs Adewale-Soetan and KMA Best Staff Award given to Philip Ekundayo.

The night’s atmosphere was brightened the more with stunning performance from guest artist – E.Davis and a wonderful drama presentation by the Alive troupe (KMA) as well as the unveiling of KMA’s 2016 magazine – “The Wholesome You”.

“If I say more, I won’t be able to hold the tears back”; these were the words of Dr Richard Okonkwo (Co-founder of Keeping Marriage Alive Initiative) whose ‘surprise’ birthday celebration was fused into the days’ programme. With a heart-touching speech from his wife (Ngee), coupled with hearty birthday messages from family and friends shown on slides; the celebrant was dazzled with the surprise package for his birthday.

It was then time to cut the Anniversary/birthday cake and photo session of awardees, family, friends & guest with the celebrant (Ngee & Rich)

The day bid farewell with closing prayer from Dr (Mrs) Nwokolo as everyone made their way home by 7.15pm
