Ngee says….

I had an opportunity beginning of this year to truly understand the meaning of this word “let them shine”. To be precise, 1st of January 2013.

A night before, we were on our way to the cross over service and I was discussing about ALIVE(Always, Loving, Intimately, Verifying, Everyday),with my husband(Rich). The children were in the car with us. We discussed intensely and later dropped the subject as we had arrived at the cross over service venue.

The very next morning our daughter(Kamsi-7yrs),comes into the kitchen and asked if she was allowed to contribute an idea she has for KMA(Keeping  Marriage Alive Initiative). I sat down and listened as she told me  she been listening to us talking last night and had developed our logo. She asked if she could show us and we said yes…

She had drawn her palm and added leaves on the fingers and on each 5 finger the words –Always, Loving, Intimately, Verifying, Everyday…were inscribed. We were amazed! That logo is currently what we are using. But the drawing was a bit modified.

How many of us allow our children to blossom or take out time to listen to them; no matter how it sounds to ‘us’. You might be amazed and find gold, as we did….

Rich says…

It has been observed that we all have only 12years to impart and build necessary substance to our children. Before they face the world and external influences. After this years all that happens is enhancement and growth of these characters and qualities..

So use the 12years with your children wisely.

Bonding time—         As parents, make out time once a week and allow the children to dream & brainstorm. No matter how silly it sounds to us. Encouragethem to dream and believe in themselves. Digest Romans 12: 4-6.
