Ngee says…

Hi friend, did you read our last week blog – https://www.keepingmarriagealive.com/2019/07/25/what-do-you-se?

This is a continuation and we believe it will bring a full understanding of what keeps a couple happy or unhappy in marriage.

As Nelson Mandela said “After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb”.

This is so true in marriage. As couples we usually think that if we have overcome a challenge that we will no longer face other challenges. In my 15years of marriage and 6 years of official counselling, I have come to realize that challenges are part and parcel of every marriage; but how we both choose to tackle these challenges is what makes the difference.

RICH SAYS…

In life and even in crisis your attitude is the most crucial element.

Your attitude sets the pace for what you experience in life.

You cannot determine what happens to you but you can choose how you respond to it and this ultimately affects the final outcome.

Happy couples, usually have the same attitude towards each challenge that comes their way – ‘we have conquered other challenges and I LOVE YOU TOO MUCH to leave you to face this challenge/bad habit/hurt alone’.

Unhappy couples, have the same attitude towards challenges – they usually blame their spouse, never take responsibility for their part and refuse to tackle the challenge(s) together.

Dear friend, do you have the right attitude that builds and sustains a happy marriage?

Dwell on this till next time.

Love,
