NGEE SAYS…

Few days ago, I went for Feet of Grace foundation partners luncheon. As the amputees walked up the stage, with their new sets of legs, I looked around and saw practically everyone in tears.

I began to reflect and look at our marriages. Everyone of us are broken one way or another; this has left a gap in our lives. This gap is the reason why we unconsciously choose the spouse’s we want to marry.

The big flaw in this gap filling is that we come with the intent ‘that our spouse should fill our gap/brokenness; never realizing that our spouses desire is one and the same too’.

True love is taking a good look at one another and acknowledging the gaps/brokenness that each of us have; while finding ways to fill the gaps together. This attitude is what keeps a solid marriage – passionate and burning in love till the end of time.

RICH SAYS…

We must always remember that we are God’s workmanship and He is the one that perfects all that concerns us.
The gaps in our lives are only corrected when we acknowledge them before God and we work with God and our spouse to overcome them.

We are actually co- labourers with God.

Dear friends, have you identified the gaps in your life and your spouse’s life; and what plans do you have together to heal the brokenness and fill in the gaps?

Remember, God’s intent for marriage is we fill in the gaps/brokenness with His help; by daily becoming the best version of ourselves, thereby creating a masterpiece.
