As I look at the picture above, I am humbled and yet grateful; for it is a testament that we don’t let yesterday win. Instead, we give God the opportunity to continue His creative masterpiece in us.

This year brings us to a total of 17 years of marriage; where we have faced a near divorce saga, pain, hurt and betrayal. Yet the singular reason that we are still standing is because we have not let yesterday win!

While growing up, I remember a post on my Mum’s wall –

Quitters don’t win!
Winners don’t quit!

This quote has stuck to my heart till date.

We all have reasons to quit in various areas of our lives; but the ability to stand up, let go of yesterday’s joy, pain and give today a chance is the attitude of winners.

My beloved ladies, I don’t know what you are going through, but I want to let you know that what you are going though right now will not kill you. It will only make you stronger; if only you will understand that you are the custodian and are solely in charge of your life.

Every great person has a scar in remembrance of what they have been through.

Today make it a point of duty to turn your scar into a star for others to find their way.

My health challenges, set backs and marriage issues were scars that brought shame. Yet I fought the good fight of faith and now they have become stars guiding others to their unique path.

What scars are you carrying? Will you own up and permit God to turn them into stars?

Remember, stars shine brightest in the dark.
