WAM (Woman and Marriage) hangout event held on the 30th – 31st of August 2024, has come and gone, but the memories linger on.

For many, one word to describe this event was wholesome.

From the lodging at the exquisite SUNFIT hotel to the beautiful ladies wearing their mostly customised jumpers and then to the sauna and steam session.

We want to specially thank Comrade Ayodele Adewale, former Amuwo-Odofin Chairman, for spending a little while with us.

How can we ever forget the thrilling performances by the women, anchored by Mrs. Ngozi Amarikwa, a veteran actress in her own right. It was indeed creativity at its peak.

We rounded up on the 1st day with revelational teachings and prayers from Pastor Ngozi Nlekwuwa of Olivet Bible Church, who spoke on family and forgiveness. Pastor Nkem Nzeribe (fondly called Grandma)of Nkem Events Place, who spoke on wealth creation via the works of our hands. Finally, our convener and founder of KMAI, Ngee (Ngozi Okonkwo), shared on ‘not allowing your Limitations stop you.’

The 2nd day began with the KMAI CoFounder and MD of KRING Hospital, Rich (Dr. Richard Okonkwo), who gave a routine checkup for all attendees for free. This session also had Esther from SUNFIT share insightful healthy living tips, too.

Each woman felt loved, empowered, and safe to share and uphold one another in the journey of life. What a beautiful weekend encapsulated with a touch of vulnerability, very rare to see in many gatherings. Ladies, you are the best.

Of course, an array of delicious meals was part of the package, too.

We all are still reeling and reminiscing from the event and can’t wait for the next sleepover.
