2017 in Review

As we close the year this Wednesday 20th December 2017, we would like to share the highlights of the year and say a big thank you for being a part of it.

The year began on a strong note with the executive board outlining programs for the year and strategies to achieve them.

As usual our ever eager women kicked off the pace for the year with Woman And Marriage forum. The weekly/monthly program ran throughout the year – physically and online. We introduced a new program for couples (Couples Boot Camp). It held once in January and gave couples the privilege to communicate rightly, and build a common vision in achieving their goal as a family. It was fun while learning new things about marriage. KMA F.I.D.E.L.I.T.Y Walk was infused with Lagos branch Couples Hangout. The program focused on highlighting the importance of habits in building marriages and ultimately the society. FIDELITY Walk had a day awareness walk in February and continued trending online through its Facebook page. Couples Hangout held a day after the Fidelity walk at Brighams hotel providing couples with another opportunity to bond and lighten up as they discussed friendship as an important characteristics of building a successful marriage. KMA Family Boot Camp 4th Edition was hosted at Green Legacy Resort Abeokuta with 8 families (36 participants) in attendance. It was a 3 day event and a delightful family event with lots of memories, legacy and experience shared among families. We hosted our annual Facebook talk show tagged 2 Sides of the story with Ngee and Rich. The program rolled from September 2016 and stopped in September 2017 in preparation for the book version, production and Facebook live in 2018.

Our annual unforgettable KMA Anniversary/Awards 4.0 held at Sunfit Hotel & Spa, Amuwo-Odofin. The awards/anniversary program gave out 5 awards to 4 distinguished individuals and an organization. The Children’s Creative Camp specifically designed to bring out the diversity of talents, creativity and leadership skills in children held July. The program hosted 34 children for it’s one week duration. Click to read morehttps://www.facebook.com/keepingmarriagealive/posts/709515159232019

Owerri and Port Harcourt hosted KMA Couples Hangout in October and November respectively with Owerri adding loveskool for the singles in attendance and this has cemented branches for KMA Couples Hangout in both locations. Help international conference 4.0 was hosted once again in DLT Hall, One Centre, Festac Town Lagos. The theme of the program was “Things that matter”; sub-topics and their speakers are as follows: Finding purpose in the midst of the storm by Ogechi Stella Njoku , staying ALIVE by Ngee, and unconditional love by Rich. We introduced a new family fun program tagged Family Funfair Day; with the sole purpose of rounding up the year for the family in a fun relaxed way. The program accommodated family of different sizes as well as singles, which all had fun in the Old school concept. KMA Diamonds were not left out as they were catered for and provided with varieties of gifts twice in the course of the year. KMA hosted a back to school day for diamonds in September, providing and supporting the less privilege with back to school materials for their children and food for their family. Also in December, an end of the year giving day was observed to distribute food stuffs for less privilege families for the festive season. KMA hosted majority of its program (small/medium crowd capacity program) at its office address 1, Waheed Smith Street, Olive Estate, Amuwo-Odofin Lagos Nigeria.

We are grateful to all our team members, stakeholders, supporters, collaborators and partners for their unwavering support in the actualization of all our programs for the year 2017; we also wouldn’t have gone this far without you our dear reader. THANKS AND GOD BLESS.

We are officially closed for the year from 20th December, 2017 to reopen on the 8th of January 2018.
